When the Amboseli Trust for Elephants spotted a trapped elephant, they knew they had to work fast with extreme precision.
A report came in during the early hours of the morning that an eight-month-old elephant had fallen into a well and couldn’t escape.
Luckily they got there before the mother was made to leave the land by cattle herders but they had to force the adult elephants back in order to save the baby.
They had to work quickly to get the parental elephants out of the way so they could rescue the calf as carefully and quickly as possible.
